What is Well-Being Coaching? Well-Being Coaching is a holistic approach encompassing all aspects involved in our Well-Being: health, work, relationships, family, lifestyle, fitness, creativity. It draws from a variety of approaches used depending on the needs and preferences of each person: 1) Co-Active Coaching The CTI® coaching philosophy holds that people are naturally creative, resourceful and whole — completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. As a trained Co-Active Coach®, my approach is to ask powerful questions, listen and empower to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses, rather than instruct or advise. It is important to note that this process does not involve therapy, expertise, or consulting. 2) HeartMath Coaching HeartMath research has demonstrated that different patterns of heart activity have distinct effects on cognitive and emotional function. These patterns may also facilitate dramatic stress reduction. By learning to change our heart rhythm pattern we can create physiological coherence: a scientifically measurable state characterized by increased order and harmony in our mind, emotions and body. This approach is about accessing practical intuition to help bring clarity to big or small decisions. It is extremely effective to help you move from depleting emotions to renewing emotions and create positive transformative outcomes.
Why is Heart Rate Variability Important? “Scientists and physicians consider Heart Rate Variability to be an important indicator of health and fitness. As a marker of physiological resilience and behavioral flexibility, it reflects our ability to adapt effectively to stress and environmental demands (...). Heart Rate Variability is also a marker of biological aging (...). Although the age-related decline in Heart Rate Variability is a natural process, having abnormally low Heart Rate Variability for one’s age group is associated with increased risk of future health problems and premature mortality. Low Heart Rate Variability is also observed in individuals with a wide range of diseases and disorders. What is the time commitment? While one session usually provides significant relief, lasting progress starts occurring in a series of sessions. For example, a series of 3 sessions is typically most effective to tackle one particular subject, while 5 sessions are recommended for more complex situations involving multiple dimensions. If you want to address more than one goal, a series of 10 sessions is ideal. We create your specific coaching format through a trusted partnership and ongoing alliance.
